7 Signs You’re Being Taken For Granted By Your BF

Relationships are super cool. You get to hang out with someone you really like and admire and that is really amazing. But, of course, relationships are also super hard. They take a lot of work, and you can’t just be in one without putting a little bit of effort in. That being said, a lot of the time, relationships can get one-sided when someone doesn’t put effort in, and someone can get taken for granted. It totally sucks, but it’s common.

I don’t want to tell you that every guy you ever date will take your for granted, but the truth is that you are should really be treated like the ~queen~ you are. You might not realize you are being taken for granted in a relationship. You can still be happy and love each other even if you are being taken for granted, which makes it even worse. If you think you might be getting taken for granted in your relationship, check out these subtle signs your partner is taking your for granted.

You Never Get Thanked

This sucks, but it happens. If you ever do nice things for your partner, but all of a sudden they stop thanking you or acting appreciative, it means that they are taking you for granted and always expect these nice things from you, which can get tricky. If they are always expecting these things, they won’t be appreciative and start taking you for granted. Image Source: Getty

Your Partner Makes Plans For You Both Without Asking You

This is a tiny thing, but actually can be a pretty big deal. If your partner is always making plans for the two of you -but not telling you about them- it can be a sign they are taking you for granted. It shows that they don’t really care about your schedule, they are just making you fit into theirs, which isn’t fair at all. Image Source: Getty

Your Partner Picks Their Friends Over You

This is a huge sign you’re being taken for granted. Sure, it’s important for your partner to have friends, but if they end up picking their friends over you all the time, it’s really not fair to you. If they do this, you have to let them know that you are also a priority, and should not be taken for granted. Image Source: Getty

Your Partner Doesn’t Check Up On You

A good partner will care about your well-being. A bad partner, or one who takes you for granted, won’t ask how you’re doing or ask about your day. It might seem like a tiny thing, but it says a lot. If they don’t check up on you, it means they might not really care. Image Source: Getty

They Cheat On You

This is a HUGE sign that they are taking you for granted! If they are cheating on you, it means they don’t appreciate you or respect your relationship at all. If this happens to you, you really need to rethink your relationship. Image Source: Getty

They Never Ask For Your Opinion

If your partner never asks for your advice or opinion, it means they might not really care about what you have to say, which is both rude and shows that they are taking you for granted. Image Source: Getty

They Never Return Favors

If you’re always doing things for your partner, like running errands or helping them out with things, it means you’re an amazing partner. But if your bae NEVER does that for you, it’s a little unfair.  I’m not saying that a relationship should be people constantly being giving favors back and forth, but if you are always giving and they are never returning the favor, it means that they might be taking you for granted.
